The catering people business ethos is to provide equal opportunities for our staff and colleagues to work within a quality and creative environment. We encourage competition between our client sites and rewards are presented for effort and success. We regularly hold team nights out for colleagues to interact and socialise together.

After the success of last years supplier Fayre and Gala Dinner we held a second and equally successful one again in June this year – 2008 – The highlight of the evening was a special awards ceremony presented by the Directors.

Unit Manager of the Year award went to Louise Bruton (pictured above with Andy North and Aileen Smith) who manages our site at CPP York where we were recently voted Supplier of the Year. Runner up was Jan Fisher who manages a very busy 24/7 site in Newcastle.

Mobile Manager of the Year – with so many units to look after we need staff who can not only cover for holidays and sickness but be there to step in at a moments notice – Debbie Gibson was the winner in this category with Fred Simmonds as runner up

Val Hyatt came out top for the Most Consistent with Jackie Joelson picking up the Most Improved award. Runners up in these categories were Tina Freeman, Hilary Bonner, Tracy Holmes, Louise Edwards, Janice Speak and Alison Clark.

Best Bookwork award went to Hilary Bonner.

Special awards were made to Pearl Rowson and Angela Nuttall to recognize effort above and beyond the call of duty or special performance.

Last year nominations for awards were made by our team of Operations Managers – who each look after a number of sites. This year we included a Directors’ award to recognise client satisfaction and the winners of this was a well deserved Linda Cox - Operations Manager along with Louise Bruton, Sally Duncan and their team at CPP in York.

More long service awards this year went to Patsy Hunt – HO Sales, Wendy Riding – HO Office Manager, Linda Cox – Operation Manager and thee site managers Hilary Bonner, Rob Kirkup and Donna Cartwright.
